With the assistance of volunteer mediators, the Community Mediation Center of Rhode Island (CMCRI) provides confidential, affordable mediation services to address a broad variety of public and private disputes. The Center provides training to individuals of all ages, families and organizations to promote the use of peaceful, productive conflict resolution throughout the state. CMCRI provides conflict resolution training to individuals and organizations across the state. It intervenes in hundreds of disputes annually, both in the community and in the Small Claims Courts. CMCRI assists with family conflicts, court-involved juveniles, neighbor-to-neighbor disputes, organizational and workplace disputes, agricultural conflicts, landlord-tenant cases, and human rights cases.
