VISIT THE WEBSITEThe Rhode Island Youth Suicide Prevention Project (RIYSPP) is collaboration between the RI Department of Health and the RI Student Assistance Services. RIYSPP is dedicated to creating a safety net of programs for teens and young adults by implementing tried and true methods such as screening, identification and referral systems for troubled individuals and training the community to respond to individuals in need. The Project is focused around youth in Rhode Island’s major cities, but all adolescents and young adults are welcome.
The Rhode Island branch of the Samaritans serves as the premier organization leading the charge against suicide in the area. With their decades of experience, the Samaritans offer a range of non-religious services to men and women looking for help throughout the state. Everything from their crisis/listening phone line to grief support is available for anyone in need.

2-1-1 provides a trained and caring human connection – a call specialist – who helps people find assistance on everything from childcare needs and mental health issues, food and heating assistance, to gambling problems and elder care services. In the event of a significant storm or natural disaster, United Way 2-1-1 in Rhode Island support state agencies and connects people to critical services.
