The issues they work on include family economic security, affordable health care, fair and adequate taxes, and a skilled workforce.
EmployRI and netWORKri (http://www.networkri.org) are initiatives of Rhode Island’s Department of Labor and Training. EmployRI is a free, online database that can be accessed on your own computer in the comfort of your home or from any computer with internet access. It contains links to thousands of job opportunities and enables users to post résumés and apply to jobs as well as research careers and find training.
netWORKri offers a vast array of training, as well as partners with numerous providers to offer assistance to job seekers who may need to add training prior to finding new employment. The netWORKri centers are conveniently located throughout the state where jobseekers and employers are matched through quality employment programs and services.
Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. Exeter Job Corps Center supports the Job Corps program’s mission of teaching eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and placing them in meaningful jobs or further education.
